One fine day Barsad bunny, Bane duckling and John Robin were all VERY busy snuggling and honk shooing together in the soft timothy hay of Barsad bunny’s hutch when Talia person came to wake them with cuddles and gentle kisses to their beaks and ears, respectively.
“I’m afraid I have to go into town today, my little friends, but I have left you a meal and I will be back by nightfall,” she assured them before tucking them back into their sleepytime pile.

Once they finally woke in the warm midday sun they ate the scrumptious meal of bird seed and fresh carrots that had been left out for them. After, they began to discuss Talia person and how fond they were of her, how much they enjoyed her special food and how much the loved when she would sometimes lay out with them in the grass during their honk shoo time for cuddling. It was decided that since they missed her now they would have a surprise for her on her return.

But what could they give Talia person ? They didn’t have money, or thumbs, or the general ability to communicate with humans. Talia always gave THEM food and they did not think she would care for any of their hay or the juicy delicious bugs that John Robin hunted for and brought back from his flights. But, the conversation had given John Robin an idea! He recalled the beautiful blue flowers he sometimes spotted in his flight through the forest. Surely this was something Talia person would like.
