Some people turn sad awfully young. No special reason, it seems, but they seem almost to be born that way. They bruise easier, tire faster, cry quicker, remember longer and, as I say, get sadder younger than anyone else in the world. I know, for I’m one of them.

If I’ve learned anything, it’s that we can never let the chaos and injustice make us so blind with anger that we become part of the problem. Understanding compassion, kindness, and love are the only true revolutionary ideals. When we compromise those we become what we despise, and we lose our humanity.

I love this quote. I love this movie.

This scene impressed me so much when I first saw it. It still fills me with… idk something. I love it.

This is pretty much the philosophy I try to hold in life.  Thanks, K, for giving me my life.

Wise words.

Also,

“There’s a time and place for everything, and I believe it’s called ‘fan fiction’.”

Fan tested, Joss approved.
Related,

“Make it dark, make it grim, make it tough, but then, for the love of God, tell a joke.”

I write to give myself strength. I write to be the characters that I am not. I write to explore all the things I’m afraid of.

This is one of my favorite quotes of all time, out of any movie, ever.

I’m not even exaggerating.

Goddamn brilliance.

Reasons to love Eric Matthews.

According to producers, the line “That’s a lovely, lovely voice” was improvised by Tom Hardy. Bruce Wayne responding “No you’re not” to Catwoman saying she felt sorry for Bruce losing his fortune was also improvised by Christian Bale

Awesome… those are among my favorite lines of the film!  I love improvised lines as much as planned ones.

This sentence has five words. Here are five more words. Five-word sentences are fine. But several together become monotonous. Listen to what is happening. The writing is getting boring. The sound of it drones. It’s like a stuck record. The ear demands some variety. Now listen. I vary the sentence length, and I create music. Music. The writing sings. It has a pleasant rhythm, a lilt, a harmony. I use short sentences. And I use sentences of medium length. And sometimes, when I am certain the reader is rested, I will engage him with a sentence of considerable length, a sentence that burns with energy and builds with all the impetus of a crescendo, the roll of the drums, the crash of the cymbals—sounds that say listen to this, it is important.

This might be my favourite quote on writing ever.

Brilliant.

Feminism DOES NOT EQUAL ‘man-haters’, ‘women are better’, ‘feminazis’, etc.

Feminism means realizing we live in a society where men are valued above women, where men make the majority of the decisions.

Feminism is fighting for equal opportunity for ALL genders.

Feminism is not a dirty word.

this

We live in a society where it’s possible for even a woman to not realize this until university.

There’s that much hate and misunderstanding on the word.
