You know… I wanted this. I wanted this so damn hard when I first started reading this comic (halfway through chapter 2 I think)… But now I’m not even sure I want this anymore.
I’ve been a Xanthe fan, despite his mistakes and his assholery and his just general… OMFGSTOPIT behavior… And then there came Gilder, who treated Linneus like the prince he is, despite clearly being a violent man (y’all saw the blood on that dagger). And Gilder / Linneus was so amazing, so feels-inducing, and the extra pages on the printed comic? YUM. Linneus got his, and he NEEDS THAT. Client or no client, he needs someone to make love to him, yes, to fuck him, while not also enjoying hurting and bruising his body, while not also enjoying hurting and bruising his HEART.
And I can’t help feeling that, with everything else now going on in Xanthe’s life, he’s just going to end up making Linneus’ heart hurt more. :( And I don’t think I can take that. Prince Pink needs LOVE, not pain. I know he loves Xanthe, probably always will… but I’ve loved jerks, too, and it doesn’t end well.
Some boys don’t change. I don’t know if I’d ship them even if he started being nice finally.
And what of Yvette? Now I’m all unsure about him in general. I’d love to see them have a happy open relaysh where they can get it on with other people who make them happy… but that’s probably not going to happen.
